OUR PRACTICE MODEL AND PHILOSOPHY

The hallmark of our practice has been our effort and ability to deliver the high standards of care found at hospital-based facilities while protecting the tradition of a small family-oriented office. Our doctors practice exclusively at Newburyport Oral Surgery and make ogoing investments in performance improvement programs, technology, infrastructure, and staff education.

The vast majority of cases are conducted in the office. Typical office-based procedures range from dental extractions to more complex jaw procedures. We are a conservative practice and will conduct major maxillofacial trauma, tumor, and reconstructive operations as hospital cases.

We regard oral and maxillofacial surgery as a healthcare profession, not a business enterprise. Our practice style and related decision making will always reflect this philosophy. Our primary mission is to provide impeccable care to all patients and to represent our profession with honor and dignity.

SCHEDULING

We recommend for new patients to register online or arrive 30 minutes early to complete all necessary registration documents. It is also helpful for patients to bring a list of all their current medications, any pertinent x-rays, and medical/dental notes with them. This will expedite the consultation process. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or designated legal guardian.

Patients scheduled for surgery will receive specific pre-operative instructions which are based on their specific medical history and type of procedure and anesthetic planned. This is extremely important so please call the office directly if you have any questions.

Like most surgical practices, we often attend to unscheduled emergency patients and perform emergency procedures. This may cause delays in our schedule and we appreciate your understanding and patience.

Based upon what is eventually paid by your insurance plan, you may receive either a bill or a refund check from us. Please understand that it is your responsibility to inform us about any changes in your insurance prior to your scheduled procedure.
